Tim McGraw Loves His Little Girls

Country music superstar, Tim McGraw, has written a book about a day with his little girl. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are the proud parents of three daughters. This book is a beautiful tribute to daddy/daughter relationships everywhere.

Katie was excited because her daddy said tomorrow they would have a spectacular day together...just the two of them. She imagined exotic places they might visit and things they might do.

When Katie got up the next morning, her daddy said they were not going to do anything in particular. They were just going to hang-out together. They got in the pick-up truck and headed for the co-op. Katie's dog, Palio, went with them.

Katie and her daddy ate lunch together and played together. They ended the day with daddy telling Katie a bedtime story and saying prayers.

It was an ordinary day but it was also a spectacular day.

The most precious gift a parent can give a child is their time. Love is an action word. This book should be required reading for all daddys...and mommys too.

Hi Janette,
I just found your blog in my fervent search for kidlit reviews blogs to add to my blogroll. I have a perpetual romance with children's books and have actually become a children's books seller/stallholder for indy publisher Barefoot Books. Was wondering if you have heard of their line of books. They have some wonderful high literacy quality, beautifully illustrated literature that our family and friends love.

Phebe,
Yes, I have heard of Barefoot Books. Would the publisher be willing to send me a copy to review on this blog?

Thank you for your comments. Hope to hear from you soon.
